Vehicle Power Management System
 

The Vehicle Power Management System (VPMS) is a power management & devices control system designed for ambulance, in order to automatically manage the charge / discharge of the batteries and provide an integrated user interface to control the in-vehicle lamps / devices / fans / light according to the situation of the batteries.

The functional block diagram of the VPMS is illustrated as in below.


As shown in the above figure, the system consists of 4 major parts:

  • PRE-VPMS: to provide the function of managing the charge of the batteries.
  • POST-VPMS: to provide the function of batteries discharge management and devices control.
  • Front control panel: is a user operating interface installed beside the driver.
  • Rear control panel: is a user operating interface installed at the rear chamber of the vehicle.
